My name is Ruth Borges, I am a lawyer in Brazil and Portugal. I was born and lived my whole life in Brasília, until I moved to Portugal in 2021.
I always wanted to change in a nice way . With the Startup Visa (the foreign entrepreneur visa), I reached this goal quickly and safely and today I help other entrepreneurs who also have the dream of moving here with their family legally .
Since I was a child, my parents taught me the value of having my own business. Both were merchants in Brasilia. As a teenager, I sold jewelry and chocolates at school. Later, when I got married, I founded a company in the furniture business where I worked for over 10 years.
Like every entrepreneur, I also went through moments of crisis, and it was at that time that I decided to drop everything and go in search of my dream: to study law. I did it in college too. There, he sold brigadiers and cakes in the pot to help with the family's income. It was 5 years of a lot of struggle, with two daughters, a lot of work and also a lot of effort. But despite the difficulties, I managed to graduate with honors in 2019, with 2nd place in the award for best TCC and 1st place as best student in the class, among the 55 graduating students. I also managed to pass the OAB even before graduation and I won a scholarship so I could do my graduate degree.
I love Brazil, but since I was a teenager I have had the dream of having an experience abroad. In 2021, after three years of planning, I finally moved to Portugal. As an immigrant, I went through the initial difficulties related to the migratory process and it was from this experience of mine that the desire for the study of migration law and the desire to help people go through this process with planning, security and fulfilling all the requirements arose. legal .
Today I live in Porto and provide consultancy, advice and specialized mentoring for those who wish to legally reside and undertake in Portugal. Through these services, dozens of entrepreneurs from all states of Brazil have already been reached and discovered that it is possible to come and live here in a planned, responsible and safe way.
